SG Tour - Orchard

If you are a fan of shopping, Orchard is the perfect place to go. Orchard has been known as the "Shopping Center" in Singapore. Girls go wild and crazy here (nah.. exag much), but yeah, Orchard is the place where you see a lot, i mean a LOT of shops. Shoes, dress, shirts, tops, shorts, skirts, sports attire and equipment, name it all. There also you can buy its famous icecream bar just for only S$1. Affordable right? Aside from the shops and the icecream, you can also see here some performers (singers, gymnast, etc.) to provide entertainment for the shoppers. Yes it's free, but if you are kind enough and was entertained, you can share to them your blessings(money).

Orchard is so easy to go, just take MRT. :D

  • If you're from West side, take the green line via Pasir Ris, alight at City Hall station then transfer to red line via Jurong East then alight at Orchard Station.
  • If you're from East side, take the green line via JooKoon, alight at Raffles Place/City Hall station then transfer to red line via Jurong East then alight at Orchard Station.
  • If you're from North side, take the red line via Marina Bay, alight at Orchard Station.
  • If youre from the South, take the red line via Jurong East and alight at Orchard Station
You can also ride a bus going to Orchard but for those who are not that quite familiar in Singapore, I recommend to take MRT so you'll not get lost. Click this link to view SMRT Map for details.

Anyhow, here are some of our pics in and around Orchard.

SG Tour - Marina Bay Sands and Merlion

Marina Bay Sands - has 3 hotel towers, 55 stories each acting as the carriers of a 2.5 acres SkyPark that spans from one tower to the other and cantilevers 65 meters(213 feet) beyond the third tower (the largest roof garden in the world) and is located at the heart of Singapore.

On my previous post , I blogged about our trip at Singapore Zoo. On that same day, after SG Zoo, we went straight ahead to MBS to meet up with our colleagues from our previous company. That was my first time to be able to see a really beautiful scenery of buildings. At first, I was not able to fully comprehend that I'm at Singapore, but because of that view at MBS, I was able to tell my self "I really I am at Singapore". haha. Pardon me if I'm too exag, it's my first trip abroad :D *big smile

Anyway, Skypark and the Light and Water show are the two of many attractions at MBS.
SkyPark is located on the 200-meter height on the three skyscrapers. Here is the most expensive in the world of casinos, bars, restaurants, the largest outdoor swimming pool, 150 meters long and even the Museum of Modern Art. If you checked-in on the hotel, Skypark entrance and use of pool are free, but for those who are not, you need to pay S$20 but you cannot use the pool.

Light and Water Show or also know as the Wonder Full is a free show at MBS and shown nightly. This show adds glitz and glamour around Marina Bay Sands. Duration of the show only takes 15 minutes of your time. Not bad at all, huh. :)

SHOWTIMES:
Sunday - Thursday: 8PM and 9:30PM
Friday - Saturday: 8PM, 9:30PM and 11PM

Here are some of our pics at MBS

Merlion -  is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore. You can click here to read more about the history of Merlion.

A picture with you with the Merlion is one of the obligatory picture when visiting Singapore. It is just a walking distance from the MBS so went there straight ahead after we meet up with our previous colleagues at MBS. Picture2x here and there.. haha

Anyhow, here are some of our pics at Merlion

SG Tour - Singapore Zoo

There are lot of places/attractions that you can visit here in Singapore. From North to South, East to West, you'll see a lot of places to go. You can visit their official site for more information on some other tourist spots here.

For us, during our first few days, part of our itinerary is to be able to go/see the 4 main tourist attractions here in Singapore. I'm talking about Singapore Zoo, Marina Bay Sands & Merlion, Orchard and Sentosa.

Singapore zoo tops on our list, so we went there on our first day. We're not expecting it to be that big that's why we went there after we had our lunch. Since we arrived late, thus, we missed some shows. Damn! Good thing is that we were able to catch up the sea lion show. It was really fun. :)

One of the things that I love during our sg zoo trip is that I was able to see some animals and some other living creatures that I haven't seen before. And also, you'll know more about them because every station have summary about them.

Aside from visiting stations and the shows, there are some extra activities and which of course requires extra pay :), but for us, we only got the basic one because our budget is kinda tight, Seriously. :D

Anyway, you can visit their official site for more information.

Here are some of the pics during the trip.

After SG Zoo, if you still have time and money you can also visit the Night Safari. It is located near the Singapore Zoo. For now, I cannot blog about Night Safari because up until now, we still haven't visited there. But I promise to blog about it soon.

New Life @ The Lion City

Early this year, me and my boyfriend decided to step away from our comfort zone and look for a good change in our career. We have decided SG since it is just 3 hrs away from Pinas. Aside from that, I already have a lot of friends already working here. Fortunately, my boyfriend was able to find a job just a month after we arrived here. And I tell you, our experience here is not that easy. *can't tell you more the details*
In my case, there are some companies that offers me but unfortunately government here already tighten on approving passes that's why my working pass got rejected 3x. Despite of what had happened, i'm not giving up and continue on what I have started. So on and so forth...
To make the long story short, I had a job offer and my pass was approved last May. Thank God. Imagine 3 months of waiting and jobless.. haha.
Now, here we are, working very hard and adjusting lifestyle here and I'm also starting to love this country. I'll just pray to HIM that HE will continue to shower us with blessings and to continue guiding us for whatever challenges that we may encounter in the future.

More blogs to post soon...

Blu Birthday

I know it's too late but nobody can stop me from sharing one of my most favorite birthdays. Last December 28, 2011 (Gosh!, 10 months ago! LOL) , we decided to check-in at one of the newest 5 star hotel in Cebu, the Radisson Blue Hotel.

Actually my birthday is on the 29th, but we checked in the hotel on the eve just to spend the very first minute of my birthday with my dearest boyfriend.

I've heard some horror stories about Radisson but that does not stop us, infact,we really had a great time. Swim2x, chitchat, relaxing, eat2x and all.

Here are some of the pics on my birthday.

Strolling @ Manila

This trip was all because of never ending promo fare of Cebu Pacific.. When I found out that they had again the piso fare...without any second thought, there we click that "Book" button.. haha.. I decided that we will try out a whole day tour to Manila. Literally "wholeday", we arrived at manila almost 6AM then departed at 5PM on the same day (damn! I will never ever do this again, you'll fine out later). Because of that tight schedule, we only visited Ayala Ave, Mall of Asia and Manila Ocean Park. I've been to Manila maybe around 5 to 6 times that's why I know some of the places there so I was the "tour guide" of my boyfriend. Since MOA opens at 10AM and we arrived at 6, we went to Ayala Ave. to grab some coffee and for my boyfriend to be able to see enormous buildings. It was also his first time to ride an MRT. ;)) Anyways, here some of the pics we got during the trip. :)
